JOCKEY Jack Kennedy is facing another spell on the sidelines after suffering a fractured leg in a fall at Thurles on Thursday.
The 17-year-old, who is heading the jump jockeys' championship in Ireland, fractured his right femur at Downpatrick on September 23 and was having his first ride back when his mount, Mega Fortune, fell at the second hurdle in a juvenile hurdle.
Gordon Elliott, Kennedy's boss, said on Friday: "Jack was with [surgeon] Paddy Kenny this morning and he's told me that he's suffered a fracture to the same leg he fractured last month.
"He could be out for up to six weeks but he'll know more when he goes back to see Mr Kenny in two weeks' time."
Kennedy has ridden 41 winners this season and is just three winners behind matching his tally for last season, his first as a jockey.
