Jack Kennedy suffers further injury setback

Teenage jockey Jack Kennedy is facing a further spell on the sidelines after fracturing his leg for the second time in less than a month.

The 17-year-old fractured his fibula following a bad fall at Downpatrick on 23 September, and was making his comeback at Thurles yesterday.

However things did not go to plan as his first mount, odds-on favourite Mega Fortune, fell at the second flight in the Devils Bit 3-Y-O Maiden Hurdle.

Kennedy is currently one ahead of Ruby Walsh at the top of the jockeys championship, having ridden 41 winners so far this season.
