Jim Best case result on Monday
The result of Jim Best's rehearing for non-trier charges will be made public on December 12.
The result of Jim Best's rehearing will be made public on December 12.
Best was found guilty earlier this year of instructing jockey Paul John to ride two horses – Echo Brava and Missile Man – not on their merits, and of "conduct prejudicial to horseracing in Great Britain".
His subsequent four-year disqualification from the sport was quashed after it emerged the chairman of the disciplinary panel at the original hearing, solicitor Matthew Lohn, was engaged by the British Horesracing Authority on other matters, giving rise to claims of an appearance of bias in favour of the governing body.
The Lewes-based handler successfully challenged the original slot for his rehearing in September and, after being rescheduled, it took place between November 21 and 25.
The BHA has said the disciplinary panel's decision will be made public in a meeting to be held at 2pm on Monday.
