IRISH riding sensation Jack Kennedy announced himself on the biggest stage of all with a performance to remember as 25-1 Labaik pipped 3-1 joint-favourite Melon up the famous Cheltenham hill.
Kennedy, 17, has been taking the Irish racing scene by storm and advertised his exciting potential on British shores when getting a fine tune out of the Gordon Elliott-trained six-year-old, who refused in four of his last seven starts.
"Words can't describe what it's like," said the jockey. "I was probably a little bit far back but they went a good gallop. It couldn't have gone any better."
