Lady works well at Newmarket
Lady Aurelia pleased connections in a Saturday morning breeze at Newmarket.
Lady Aurelia: Winner at Royal Ascot
The daughter of Scat Daddy provided American trainer Wesley Ward with another Royal Ascot winner after a scintillating performance in the Queen Mary in June and maintained her unbeaten record when claiming Group One glory in last month's Prix Morny at Deauville.
She is currently based at the National Stud as she prepares for a tilt at the Cheveley Park Stakes on September 24 and enjoyed a spin on the Rowley Mile under Frankie Dettori on Saturday morning.
Rachel Rodman, former assistant to ex-trainer Olly Stevens, oversaw proceedings on Ward's behalf.
She said: "I just help Wes out when his horses are over here but he is back at home.
"Everything is good. She worked on the Rowley Mile and Frankie was very happy.
"It was nothing too strenuous, it was just to give her a feel of the track more than anything and everything went well.
"Hopefully she'll come out of this well and we'll see where we're at.
"She'll work maybe twice more before the race, but we were happy with how it went this morning."
