Le Breuil handed Kelso target

Le Breuil could return to action in the Premier Kelso Novices' Hurdle after being sidelined since making a winning debut over obstacles at Sedgefield in November.

Ben Pauling will aim Le Breuil at Kelso

Trainer Ben Pauling reports the five-year-old to have recovered from injury but is not fit enough just yet to make his comeback.

Therefore, Le Breuil will not take up his engagement in the Neptune Investment Management Novices' Hurdle at Ascot on Saturday.

He still holds entries in the Neptune and the Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival.

"He doesn't run on Saturday. He just needs a couple more pieces of work and is just not quite ready," said Pauling.

"He took a knock after Sedgefield so he's been off until now, but he's back on track and is a lovely horse.

"He might return at Kelso on March 4."
