Le Reve ready for Cheltenham
Lucy Wadham is looking forward to seeing stable star Le Reve make his seasonal debut in the BetVictor Handicap Chase at Cheltenham on Saturday.
Le Reve will reappear at Cheltenham on Saturday
The eight-year-old won a valuable prize at Sandown in February before being prepared for a tilt at the Grand National, in which he finished 11th.
Le Reve disappointed on his final start of the season, when he was pulled up in the bet365 Gold Cup at Sandown, but Wadham is pleased with his condition ahead of his comeback and is eyeing another appearance over the National fences in the Becher Chase on December 3.
"He's entered at Cheltenham and hopefully he will come out there," said the Newmarket-based trainer.
"I think the owner would probably like to go for Hennessy but I would like to go for the Becher.
"I just think that Hennessy tends to be won by a novice, where I can see him going well in the Becher Chase as he likes those fences.
"The National will hopefully be the plan. Hopefully it will be on better ground next year."
