Leopardstown ground eases

The ground at Leopardstown has eased ahead of Saturday's Qipco Irish Champion Stakes, the feature event on day one of Irish Champions Weekend.

A total of 26 millimetres of rain has fallen at the track and the ground is now described as good on the inner track and good to yielding on the outer, with a dry forecast for the next few days.

Irish Champions Weekend tweeted: "Leopardstown is good (inner) & good to yielding (outer) following 26mm rain over weekend. Dry over coming days."
