Martin: No rush for Heartbreak
Melbourne Cup runner-up Heartbreak City looks set for a hurdling campaign this winter, but connections are in no rush with the six-year-old.
Heartbreak City is only just back from a break
Tony Martin's charge, who was narrowly denied in the Flemington Group One early last month, missed an engagement over timber at Huntingdon on Sunday.
The Summerhill handler is planning to return to jumping with the gelding, but only when conditions are right.
"He's back doing a little bit," said Martin.
"We'll probably run him over hurdles, but there is nothing settled, and we'll see how he is in the next fortnight.
"He's only back from a little break and it all depends on how he is."
