Meehan weighs up Morny glory
Brian Meehan will make a decision at the end of the week regarding the participation of Barraquero in the Prix Morny at Deauville later this month.
Having initially been keen on tackling the Group One with the son of Zebedee following his victory in the Richmond at Goodwood last week, the Manton handler is now having second thoughts.
Meehan said: "He is in good shape and is just having a few days off. I'm not sure whether he will go to the Morny yet. I will see what the owners say and decide at the end of the week.

"I was really keen on going there, but I might just bring him back and give him an extra bit of time as he is a horse with a future. Physically he has a lot of scope and he is a really exciting prospect."
Although the two-year-old is currently second favourite for next year's Commonwealth Cup at Royal Ascot, an outing in the Qipco 2000 Guineas has not been ruled out by Meehan.
He added: "He could go the Commonwealth Cup route, but I don't see any reason why he won't get a bit further. He is a horse that strikes me will get seven and there is no reason he wouldn't get a mile.
"It is wonderful to have the Commonwealth Cup as an alternative as it means you don't have to campaign them over a mile in the spring as there is that lovely alternative programme.
"What it is doing is keeping those sort of horses in the country rather than being sold abroad."
