DUAL Group 3 winner Mizzou will take up stallion duties at James Hannon's the Old Road Stud in County Waterford for the 2017 breeding season.

The five-year-old was retired at the end of last month by his connections.

Bred by Matrix Bloodstock out of the Listed-winning Darshaan mare Moments Of Joy, Mizzou is a brother to the Group-placed Eternal Bounty and is from the family of Yorkshire Oaks heroine My Emma.

Offered by Oaks Farm Stables at Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale in 2012, he was bought by McCalmont Bloodstock for 275,000gns.

Trained by Luca Cumani for his owner Jon Kelly, the son of Galileo won five races from ten starts including back-to-back runnings of the Group 3 Sagaro Stakes at Ascot.

He was last seen finishing second behind Order Of St George in the Group 1 Gold Cup at Royal Ascot.
