LAST season Unowhatimeanharry was one of the success stories as he climbed through the handicap ranks to claim victory at the Cheltenham Festival in the Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle.
The eight-year-old faced an early litmus test for his reappearance, but showed he is still improving when dismissing experienced rivals handily under Barry Geraghty.
Since joining Harry Fry, Unowhatimeanharry is unbeaten in six starts, and it remains to be seen what is the ceiling of his ability.
Fry was taken aback by the manner of the six-length win, and said: "He had it all to prove today but it's been worth waiting for. We couldn't have expected that and I'm absolutely delighted.
"The races pick themselves and we'll go to Ascot next in three weeks [Long Walk Hurdle]."
The World Hurdle looks an obvious target for Unowhatimeanharry at this season's festival, and he is now a general 6-1 chance (from 14).
What could have been
Irish raider Snow Falcon may have posed a danger to the winner, but he crashed out at the hurdle at the top of the home straight when travelling well. Happily, trainer Noel Meade reported the six-year-old to be none the worse for the fall.
Ballyoptic kept on for second, with Menorah running a gallant race to take third.
