CHELTENHAM Festival hero Next Sensation could be set for a return to Prestbury Park with connections eyeing the £50,000 Randox Health Handicap Chase on the second day of this month's Showcase meeting.
The nine-year-old handed trainer Michael Scudamore and jockey Tom Scudamore an emotional victory in March 2015 when he claimed the Grand Annual but failed to fire last season.
However, Next Sensation finally regained the winning thread last time out, ending a ten-race losing run with victory at Newton Abbot last month.

Now the son of Brian Boru could be set for a tilt at the valuable 2m2f contest at Cheltenham a week on Saturday.
"Cheltenham next week is under consideration for the Next Sensation," said Michael Scudamore.
"He is also in at Kempton this weekend so we will have a look at that but Cheltenham is in the back of my mind."
Scudamore admitted he could not find an explanation for Next Sensation's failure to build on his Cheltenham Festival victory but is optimistic his Newton Abbot win can prove a springboard to further success this season.
"He has come out of Newton Abbot really well," said Scudamore. "For whatever reason last season he seemed his normal self at home but each time he got to the track he was lacklustre. He just didn't have his usual zip and spark.
"Luckily, he has come back to a bit form and was a bit unlucky at Cartmel [where he fell three fences out in August] before winning at Newton Abbot.
"I am just hoping that the recent win will give him the confidence to kick on again."
