THE THOROUGHBRED CLUB has announced the details of the workshops and programmes that will take place at its careers course on November 14 and 15 at Tattersalls in Newmarket.

The course is aimed at those seeking employment in the thoroughbred industry, people already working in the sector and individuals who are looking to move up the career ladder or sample a new sector.

Over two days, various opportunities in the industry will be showcased through a range of professional and influential speakers who have developed successful careers.

They will consist of plenary sessions focussing on the breeding industry, the industry's supporting services, racehorse training, industry administration services, media and continued professional development and education.

The workshops supporting the plenary sessions will offer four choices of options to take place in a more personal environment.

Visits scheduled for the programme include a tour of Tattersalls, a visit to Juddmonte's Banstead Manor Stud, a visit to the Longholes rehabilitation and pre-training centre, a tour of Roger Varian's Kremlin House Stables and The Jockey Club's Newmarket racecourses.
