Oh This Is Us (purple) capped a fine season with victory

Oh This Is Us capped a great season by winning the Betfred "supports Jack Berry House" Handicap at Doncaster.

Richard Hannon's three-year-old had enjoyed a fine summer, winning four other times, but he looked handicapped up to the hilt off nearly top weight.

Sean Levey got the breaks at just the right time, though, hitting the front inside the final furlong and having enough in reserve to hold off the late thrust of Bertiewhittle by a neck.

The Kevin Ryan-trained pair of Al Khan and Mount Tahan took minor honours.

Levey said of the 10-1 winner: "He's had a very good season.

"I rode him last time out at Lingfield in a good race but it never panned out for him and he finished third under just hands and heels.

"He needs them to go a good pace – they did today – and it worked out for him."
