Options open for Robin Of Navan
Trainer Harry Dunlop is considering options at home and abroad as seasonal starting points for his stable star Robin Of Navan.
A Group One winner in France as a two-year-old, the son of American Post endured a frustrating campaign last term, failing to strike gold in six starts.
However, he ran some fine races in defeat, perhaps most notably on his final start when runner-up to Potemkin in the Premio Roma in Italy.
Dunlop said: "We have got him in the Prix d'Harcourt and we are thinking about that, though that could be pretty tough.
"He has wintered well and is in good form. We are looking forward to getting going with him again.
"We have got the Brigadier Gerard at Sandown and we are going to put him in the Mooresbridge at Naas. They will be the sort of races that are his early-season targets.
"He has strengthened and is definitely bigger than last year. He had an issue after the French Derby which he is now over, fingers crossed. Hopefully he will improve again and we can get him back to his two-year-old form.
"We know running him in England is highly competitive, so we'll keep our French connection open and try to win a few more euros with him and perhaps look at some of those French Group One races later on.
"There are so many options for him."
