Order Of St George primed for Irish Ledger repeat

Order Of St George is on course to land back-to-back renewals of the Palmerstown Estate Irish St Leger at the Curragh on Sunday.

Aidan O'Brien's Ascot Gold Cup winner was one of 17 to stand their ground at the confirmation stage, and like last year has taken the trial for the race on the way.

He could be joined by his stable companion Bondi Beach and the Willie Mullins-trained pair of Clondaw Warrior and Wicklow Brave, who was third 12 months ago.

Although remaining in the Irish Champion Stakes, Success Days, trained by Ken Condon, also features among the entries for the final Classic of the Irish season, as does Dermot Weld's Forgotten Rules.

Ed Dunlop's Trip To Paris and the Peter Niven-trained Clever Cookie feature for Britain.

The O'Brien-trained Churchill is the star name in the Goffs Vincent O'Brien National Stakes on the same card, with the unbeaten Promise To Be True headlining seven for Ballydoyle in the Moyglare Stud Stakes.
