Oxx draws up Ribblesdale plan
Naughty Or Nice is on course to put her unbeaten record on the line in the Ribblesdale Stakes at Royal Ascot.
The daughter of Fastnet Rock has won both her starts to date, with the runners-up in those two races franking the form in some style.
Bean Feasa, whom Naughty Or Nice defeated by two and a half lengths on her debut at Gowran Park in April, went on to win the Derrinstown Stud 1,000 Guineas Trial and was unlucky in running when fifth in the Classic itself.
The latest booster came on Thursday, when Grandee, a head second to Naughty Or Nice in the Yeats Stakes at Navan last month, ran out a clear-cut winner of a Listed contest at Leopardstown.
Naughty Or Nice has sufficiently pleased trainer John Oxx to persuade him to put her in the picture for the Ribblesdale.
"She's fine and is in good form. She's been fine since her win and we've been happy with her," said the Currabeg handler.
"As I've said before, she's a lazy worker at home and wouldn't give you any clues, but she's done well on the track which is the important thing.
"The form of her last race is working out OK. The second won a Listed race on Thursday night. Her form is solid enough at Listed level anyway, so we will just have to see if she can step up a bit.
"The plan is to run her in the Ribblesdale Stakes if all continues to go well.
"It's a fair step up from a Listed to a Group Two, but Ascot should suit her and if she's well we'll let her take her chance."
