Palmer has Vintage options

Vintage Folly (l) could run on the all-weather

Vintage Folly could revert to the all-weather for a tilt at the Hoppings Stakes should the ground be unsuitable at Royal Ascot.

While the Ribblesdale Stakes remains her main target, trainer Hugo Palmer may switch her attentions to the Listed prize at Newcastle if conditions are not soft enough.

After making a winning debut at Gosforth Park in November, the daughter of Makfi found only the high-class Shutter Speed too strong on her seasonal return in the Musidora at York.

Palmer said: "I think we will probably look towards the Ribblesdale, but I think she does look to be a soft ground filly so we will just have to see.

"They are talking about the ground being firm at Ascot at the moment, so they would need an awful lot of rain.

"If the soft ground didn't come, we could go down the Covert Love route and run in the Hoppings Stakes on the all-weather or look at the Newbury race (Ballymacoll Stud Stakes)."
