Politologue entered for Haydock

Paul Nicholls has three entered in Haydock's Star Sports Cheltenham Preview Evening Novices' Chase on Saturday, including the exciting Politologue.

Politologue is one of three entered from Ditcheat

A winner on Merseyside on his chasing debut, he was most impressive at Ascot last time out in Grade Two company and would be running in the same grade if he takes his chance in the race formally run as the Altcar Novices' Chase.

Nicholls has another Grade Two winner engaged in Le Prezien, together with Ibis Du Rheu, a winner at the Cheltenham Festival in March.

Dan Skelton may run It'safreebee, while Colin Tizzard has entered the promising Robinsfirth and Solatentif.

Malcolm Jefferson is keen to find out how good his Waiting Patiently is after being unextended to win his first two starts over fences.

"Waiting Patiently is a lovely horse," said Jefferson.

"I know he's a bit out of it on ratings with a few of them but he's improving and he'll love the ground while some of them won't.

"It can't be soft enough for him but he's not a slow horse."

Bun Doran, Maximiser and Aminabad make up the 10.
