Postponed pleases in workout

Arc de Triomphe favourite Postponed continues to please trainer Roger Varian with the big race at Chantilly a week away.

Arc favourite Postponed and Andrea Atzeni win the Juddmonte International.

The five-year-old has enjoyed a perfect season to date, winning three Group Ones in succession, including the Coronation Cup and the Juddmonte International.

Varian said: "Postponed is in great form. He worked this morning and worked well.

"We don't mind everyone asking about him. The day we don't have a favourite for the Arc is when we will be upset that we are not getting the attention. It is a nice position to be in.

"He is in good form and where he needs to be with eight days to go. Fingers crossed that it all goes well between now and next weekend."

Postponed heads the Arc betting with Sky Bet at 5/2, ahead of La Cressonniere at 9/2 and Japanese challenger Makahiki at 7/1.
