Quebee sets up Woodbine tilt

Quebee could now tackle the EP Taylor Stakes at Woodbine following her narrow verdict in the Listed Racehorse Sanctuary Fortune Stakes at Sandown.

Quebee gets up at Sandown

Clive Cox is eyeing the Canadian Grade One on October 16 after 16-1 shot Quebee swooped late and fast to land the mile event at the Esher venue.

Harry Bentley delivered the Sir Percy filly up the rail to edge out Yorker by a neck with Muwaary staying on for third, half a length back

Cox said: "It was very satisfying. She has had a wonderful season and she is all guts and heart. She went through a gap that Harry said she took him into, it wasn't a case of him being brave. I was really chuffed with her.

"I am proud of the way she has run. It was a pleasing performance and she is clearly a very nice filly.

"I think she will get further. She won over a mile and one furlong at Goodwood. I think she will get a mile and a quarter easily. We did just touch on the idea of going for the EP Taylor or something like that might come on the agenda."
