Queen to reign at Yarmouth
Anita Chambers naps Arabian Queen for Wednesday's racing action – she has a tip for every UK and Irish race.
Arabian Queen was a surprise winner of the Juddmonte International in 2015
BEVERLEY: 1.50 Bismarck The Flyer, 2.25 Moll Anthony, 3.00 Getgo, 3.30 Four On Eight, 4.05 Dance Alone, 4.40 Astrophysics, 5.10 Sword Exceed, 5.40 Euro Mac.
KELSO: 4.15 Grexit, 4.50 Amilliontimes, 5.25 See The Legend, 6.00 Imjoeking, 6.30 Mardale, 7.00 Temple Man.
LISTOWEL: 1.55 Fair Game, 2.30 Camile, 3.05 Island Remede, 3.35 Romantic, 4.10 Gas Line Boy, 4.45 Oathkeeper, 5.20 Labaik, 5.50 Kagney.
SANDOWN: 2.05 Point Of Woods, 2.40 Hamada, 3.15 Zefferino, 3.50 Mustashry, 4.25 Qamarain, 5.00 Acrux, 5.30 Pina.
YARMOUTH: 2.15 Highland Cradle, 2.50 Sakhee's Jem, 3.25 ARABIAN QUEEN (NAP), 4.10 Al Neksh, 4.35 Fastnet Tempest, 5.05 Bashiba, 5.35 Highly Sprung.
Arabian Queen has already created one surprise in her career and can cause another upset by lifting the EBF Stallions John Musker Fillies' Stakes at Yarmouth.
David Elsworth's charge defied her 50/1 price tag when inflicting a famous defeat on Golden Horn in last year's Juddmonte International at York and while it will not be as big a shock if she can top one-time Oaks favourite So Mi Dar here, it will certainly be another feather in her cap.
Admittedly the So Mi Dar – who we have not seen since the Musidora at York in May – has much more obvious claims as she arrives unbeaten in three starts while Arabian Queen has been beaten in both her outings this term.
Both fillies have been sidelined for a while now and despite Arabian Queen having that bit of Group One form in the book, So Mi Dar must concede 1lb to her, a factor which could become crucial in a tight finish.
Arabian Queen has not struck since her International win but she plied her trade at the highest level at the end of last term and there was plenty to like about her initial second behind Usherette at Newmarket back in May.
Her stamina did not appear to last home when well beaten by Postponed in the Coronation Cup on her most recent outing and she is reported to have suffered intermittent lameness since that run.
Obviously her issues are not ideal but she must have been showing more promise at home for Elsworth to bring her back for this 10-furlong heat and given she has 3lb in hand of So Mi Dar on the official figures and upwards of 10lb on the rest, it will be disappointing if she cannot throw down a decent challenge in this Listed heat.
Al Neksh did himself few favours when taking a keen hold at Goodwood last time out but should be granted another chance in the Parklands Leisure Holiday Distributors Handicap.
Winner of two of his four starts to date, Al Neksh was well fancied to supplement his Haydock and Chester verdicts with another triumph on the Sussex Downs.
However, he raced far too freely before being hampered with a couple of furlongs to run and once his chance was gone, Frankie Dettori let him come home in his own time.
It is worth giving William Haggas' charge another chance.
Mustashry ran a cracker to finish second in an ultra-competitive York handicap and he can handle the switch up to Listed company with aplomb in the Racehorse Sanctuary Fortune Stakes at Sandown.
Sir Michael Stoute's runner was done no favours by a high draw on the Knavesmire and after having to settle off the pace, he perhaps just had a bit too much work to do in the closing stages.
Beaten half a length by Firmament, it really was a good effort in the circumstances and his new rating of 104 makes this move up in class an obvious shout.
Frankel has made quite an impact with his first runners on the track and while Zefferino is one of the few not to have won so far, he can right that statistic in the Max Patel Wealth Manager Of Choice Conditions Stakes.
He was sent off an odds-on favourite on his Newmarket debut last month but did not settle early on in the seven-furlong heat and, while travelling smoothly into contention, he was eventually outgunned by Seniority.
It was a bit disappointing to see the winner flop in the Solario Stakes next time out, but Zefferino looked a winner waiting to happen and his Group One entries for the closing weeks of the season show the regard he is held in at home.
