Quiet Reflection to be sold

Quiet Reflection will head to the sales

Quiet Reflection will head for the Tattersalls December Mare Sale following her disappointing run on Champions Day at Ascot.

Karl Burke's filly claimed Group One glory in both the Commonwealth Cup at Royal Ascot and the Sprint Cup at Haydock last season and while the current campaign has not been so smooth, an impressive success at Naas last month suggested she was back to her best.

With conditions in her favour, connections were confident of a big run in the Qipco British Champions Sprint, but she could only finish ninth of 12 runners.

Burke said: "She's come out of the race fine. She has a few scrapes on one of her legs, so she must have had a bump from one of the other horses, but we're not using it as an excuse.

"We were obviously hoping for a better run than she produced. Conditions were there to suit her and she'd won really well at Naas.

"She just didn't fire on the day, but she's been a great filly for us and owes us nothing.

"She'll go to Tattersalls in December now."
