Salisbury card under threat
The Flat fixture at Salisbury on Wednesday could lose a race as one area of the Wiltshire circuit is waterlogged in places.
There could be changes to Salisbury's card
Clerk of the course Jeremy Martin intends to hold a 7am inspection on Monday morning to assess whether the opening race, the one-mile PKF Francis Clark British Stallion Studs EBF Maiden, can go ahead as scheduled.
Martin said: "The official going is soft, good to soft in places, but we are heavy, waterlogged in places, between a mile and seven furlongs.
"It's quite a vulnerable area down at the bottom, and there is more rain forecast on Monday, heading into Tuesday.
"The rest of the course is perfectly fine, but unless it dries out, the race at 2.20pm is not looking good."
