HIGH-CLASS racemare Secret Gesture is set to go under the hammer at the Keeneland November Breeding-Stock Sale, which features mares and foals and takes place from November 8-20.
Secret Gesture, a six-year-old daughter of Galileo, won the Listed Lingfield Oaks Trial by ten lengths before finishing second to Talent in the Oaks at three.
At four she won the Listed Warwicksire Oaks and finished third in the Group 1 Prix Jean Romanet, and in the following season she scored in the Group 2 Middleton Stakes and was first past the post in the Grade 1 Beverly D Stakes, only to be disqualified by the stewards.
Secret Gesture, a sister to 3,600,000gns yearling purchase and Group 3 winner Sir Isaac Newton, will be offered by Hunter Valley Farm in foal to War Front.
Also of significant European interest in the sale is Toirneach, the dam of Irish 1,000 Guineas and Yorkshire Oaks heroine Pleascach.
The 11-year-old daughter of Thunder Gulch will be offered by Hill 'n' Dale Sales Agency in foal to Teofilo.
They are among a mammoth 4,762 horses catalogued to sell at Keeneland in November.
Another star set to sell is Stellar Wind, a daughter of Curlin who has beaten Beholder to win the Grade 1 Zenyatta Stakes and Clement L Hirsch Stakes on her last two starts.
Also on offer are Grade 1 winners Evening Jewel, Lady Eli, My Conquestadory, Pure Clan and Summer Soiree.
Last year's Keeneland November Sale featured Take Charge Brandi, who became the most expensive thoroughbred sold at auction in 2016 when sold to John Sikura for $6 million.
