GOFFS has catalogued just four lots for its sale at Leopardstown before Irish Champions Weekend gets under way on Saturday.

This is the third year of the boutique horses-in-training auction, with Goffs having assembled catalogues of 11 lots in each of 2014 and 2015.

Group 3 Dick Poole Fillies' Stakes winner Madam Dancealot looks set to be the star of the show and she is joined in the sale by another filly, the Jim Bolger-bred, owned and trained Listed runner-up Siamsaiocht, who holds significant breeding value as a Teofilo sister to Dewhurst Stakes winner Siamsaiocht.

The catalogue is completed by two juvenile colts – Grand Coalition, a son of Kodiac who finished third in Listed company at Ripon for Johnny Murtagh last week, and Forrest Prince, a son of Approve who made most to score in a Gowran Park maiden for Patrick Prendergast.

Goffs chief executive Henry Beeby acknowledged the small number on offer, saying: "This year's Champions catalogue is smaller than previous years, however we have stuck to our original selection criteria for this sale which is to catalogue only highly rated proven performers with international potential.

"Indeed, [the sale] is the epitome of quality over quantity and we are very pleased with the standard of horses on offer."

All four horses have been pre-vetted and will be available for inspection from 12.30pm in the saddling box area at Leopardstown.
