September Storm moves to Knockhouse for 2017 By Martin Stevens 11:03AM 2 NOV 2016

SEPTEMBER STORM is joining the roster of National Hunt stallions at Knockhouse Stud in County Kilkenny for 2017.

The 14-year-old son of Monsun – who supplied his third Melbourne Cup winner with Almandin on Tuesday – formerly stood at Ballyash Stud in County Down.

The best runners from small crops by September Storm are Alan King's promising hurdler Mia's Storm and
fair point-to-pointer Wind Of Hope.

The sire was a Listed winner in his native Germany and another claim to fame is he is a brother to in-demand dual-purpose stallion Shirocco, sire of brilliant jumps mare Annie Power, Minella Rocco and Rock The Kasbah.

Knockhouse Stud's Sean Kinsella said: "September Storm is beautiful looking and very correct.

"He hasn't had a large amount of runners but there are more in the pipeline and there's a bit of a buzz about him – I had people booking in mares before I had even completed the deal for him."

September Storm will stand at a fee of €2,500 alongside Libertarian, Notnowcato, Prince Flori and Touch Of Land.
