Sky Bet go NRNB on championship races

Sky Bet are now offering non-runner/no bet on ALL four championship races at the Cheltenham Festival with Best Odds Guaranteed.

It's that 'non runner no bet' time of year again

The Leeds-based firm already had the concession in place for the Sky Bet Supreme Novices' Hurdle but now customers can back horses in any of the championship races – the Stan James Champion Hurdle, the Betway Queen Mother Champion Chase, the Sun Bets Stayers' Hurdle and the Timico Cheltenham Gold Cup – safe in the knowledge that if their selection doesn't run – they get their money back.

What is NRNB?

Non-runner, no bet simply means that you get your money back if your horse doesn't line-up in the race. So, if you back a horse for the Gold Cup but he instead runs in the Ryanair Chase, you will be refunded. It gives antepost backers security to go ahead and take what could be a value price.

Sky Bet Racing PR Manager Michael Shinners said: "The build-up to the Cheltenham Festival is now in full swing and punters can now place their bets in the championship races, as well as the Sky Bet Supreme, with us knowing the safety net is in place that if their horse doesn't run – they get their money back.

"With running plans fluid over the likes of Annie Power and Vroum Vroum Mag it's sure to be a popular concession as the clock ticks round to Tuesday March 14."
