Smart has high hopes for Flash

Bryan Smart is expecting a big run from Flash Of White in the £20,000 feature race at Hamilton Park on Tuesday.

The nursery debutant, partnered by Connor Beasley, faces seven rivals in the Highland Spring Water Hamilton Park 2-Y-O Series Final having qualified on debut at the Lanarkshire track in June.

The Hambleton trainer said: "He was very green on debut but has improved although he ran free and tired up the hill at Carlisle last time.

"We've worked on him at home so hopefully he will settle better and the form looks strong as the winner and second have won since. He's in good order and he should run well for us."

Racing off a rating of 80 is Mark Johnston's top-weight Las Casa Tarifia who was runner-up in a valuable nursery at York recently.

Harome, trained by David Loughnane, landed a 5f qualifier for this series in June and will be making his third course appearance while Richard Fahey is triple-handed with Heatongrad, Galahad and Western Presence.

Seven of the eight runners are trained in Yorkshire and the sole Scottish challenger is Reckless Serenade from the nearby Carluke stable of Keith Dalgleish. The filly carried the Weldspec Glasgow colours to victory at Hamilton Park last month.

Dalgleish is double-handed in the £12,000 EBF Stallions Scottish Premier Series Fillies' Handicap with Forever A Lady and Livella Fella.

And Shirley Teasdale, who rode a 50/1 winner for the Belstane Stable trainer at Hamilton Park on Friday night, partners Magical Lasso for the yard in the Drinks Express Handicap.
