A €75,000 son of Adlerflug bought by PB Bloodstock topped the second and final session of the BBAG October Sale in Baden Baden on Saturday.
Consigned by Gestut Gorlsdorf, the gelding is out of the winning Arctic Term mare Homing Instinct and is a half-sister to the operation's 2013 German St Leger heroine Hey Little Gorl and to the Listed-winning chaser Hill Fairy.
Manfred Hofer went to €49,000 to secure the day's second top lot, a filly by Coolmore's Zoffany.
Out of the King's Best mare Virginias Best, the filly is a half-sister to the winners Tobacco Road and Putaringonit. Further back it is the family of top-class French hurdler Laveron and dual Group 1 winner Lavirco.
Also on Saturday, bloodstock agent Richard Venn picked up the four-year-old Sholokhov mare Honey Pie for €36,000.
She was offered in foal to Gestut Gorlsdorf's German Derby winner Sea The Moon and is from the same family as that of Saturday's top lot.
The Salaman Corporation struck at €34,000 to secure a colt by first-crop sire Reliable Man who is from the family of Group performers Welluna, Well Proved and Well Known.
