Soul Silver set for Radley target
David Simcock has earmarked the Radley Stakes at Newbury as a potential next port of call for Soul Silver.
David Simcock: Trains Soul Silver
After failing to handle quick conditions when finishing last in the Duchess of Cambridge Stakes at Newmarket's July Festival on her second start, the two-year-old got her career back on track with an impressive win in a conditions contest at Kempton on Friday.
With a step back up in class now on the agenda for the daughter of Dragon Pulse, the Newmarket handler is leaning towards making the seven-furlong Listed prize on October 22 the next target.
He said: "I thought she would win at Chelmsford last time and we were half disappointed.
"After she won her maiden, she went to Newmarket in the Duchess of Cambridge and raced on fast ground which probably didn't suit her.
"She was very comfortable on that surface and she picked up well on it. She is one of those fillies that always does what you ask of her and she gives you loads.
"The Radley Stakes is a race that I was looking at the other day and it is one of a few races in my mind for her."
