Southwell abandoned by heavy rain
Tuesday afternoon's all-weather fixture at Southwell has been abandoned due to a waterlogged track.
Heavy rain has prompted officials to abandon Tuesday's card at Southwell.
With 49 millimetres of "persistent rainfall" having fallen at the Nottinghamshire track in the last 36 hours, course officials were left with no option but to abandon the card.
Raceday clerk of the course Richard Aldous said: "The water is sitting on top of the track in places so we've had to abandon.
"The river hasn't burst so the rest of the racecourse has not been flooded."
