Stud date for Journey
John Gosden believes the time is right for Journey to head to stud after her defeat at Ascot on Saturday.
Having finished second and first in the Qipco British Champions Fillies And Mares Stakes for the past two seasons, she was strongly fancied to bow out in style.
However, on softer ground than ideal, Journey could finish only sixth behind Hydrangea in the Group One.

Stablemate Coronet, who won the Ribblesdale at the track in June, fared better in third and stays in training as a four-year-old.
"Journey ran great but she has just reached that stage in life where she is ready to go to stud," said Gosden.
"She just ran a little bit on her nerves and she needed to get into a rhythm. Having said that, the first two (Hydrangea and Bateel) were very good.
"Coronet ran a blinder in third and she stays in training with me next season."
