The Tin Man on course for York

The Tin Man remains on course for York

The Tin Man heads a field of 13 in Wednesday's Duke of York Clipper Logistics Stakes.

James Fanshawe's sprinter proved himself at the highest level at Ascot on Champions Day and makes his seasonal reappearance under a penalty at York.

Ayr Gold Cup one-two Brando and Growl will clash again, with Richard Fahey extremely happy with Growl ahead of his first run of the new campaign.

Fahey told www.sportinglife.com: "Growl was placed in a Group One last season and he had a fantastic season and it was a bit frustrating he didn't win the Ayr Gold Cup.

"It just shows the quality of the handicaps now, he finished second and ran a good race. The winner ended up a Group horse and we were placed in a Group One.

"But this year he's been training really well, I don't know if his confidence is high – last year he took a while to really come to himself and show his best form.

"This year he has set off right where he left off last year, so we're extremely happy with him and his work is very good."

Last year's first two home, Magical Memory and Suedois are back again while Great St Wilfrid winner Nameitwhatyoulike takes his chance.

Three runners will carry the Godolphin blue – Baccarat, Comicas and Jungle Cat – with Mobsta, Final Venture, Tasleet and Tupi completing the list.
