Pomellato, who formerly stood in France but was sold to Iran before he got off to a good start with his progeny, stands his first season at Thenney next year for €5,000.

Orpen, sire of European Group 1 winners Torrestrella and Vorda, has stood at Thenney in recent years but remains next year in Argentina, where he has supplied no fewer than 15 Grade 1 scorers.
