Time Test to swerve Irish Champion

Time Test will not be running in the Qipco Irish Champion Stakes at Leopardstown on September 10.

Time Test: Misses Irish Champion Stakes

The Roger Charlton-trained four-year-old is on a break after he was ruled out of the Juddmonte International at York.

He holds an entry in the Champion Stakes at Ascot on October 15 but needs fast ground to be seen at his best.

"Time Test is having a break," said owner Khalid Abdullah's racing manager Teddy Grimthorpe.

"Roger wasn't particularly happy with him in the lead-up to the Juddmonte so he won't be going to Ireland.

"We'll just have to see how he does. Only when he's back in full work and pleasing Roger will a decision be made on his future."

Time Test had been as low as 7-1 for the Irish Champion Stakes.
