Wentworth Falls proved better than ever when resuming winning ways on his penultimate outing at Doncaster and improved further to follow up with a defeat of Tiger Jim at Redcar last time. He appeared to have more in hand than the official winning margin would suggest that day and, while a 4 lb hike in the weights makes life tougher here, Wentworth Falls remains one to keep onside in his current mood and is taken to complete his hat-trick for the Geoffrey Harker yard. Lexington Abbey goes well here and can give the selection most to do under Ryan Moore.
Brando was a comfortable winner of his seasonal debut in the Abernant Stakes at Newmarket four weeks ago and should improve with that first outing for six months under his belt. He certainly looked a high-class sprinter when winning the Ayr Gold Cup under a big weight in September and is fancied to record the biggest victory of his career to date, with the possibility of more to come as a five-year-old. Tupi was an impressive winner of his most recent outing at Doncaster and could reward each-way support at big odds for the in-form Richard Hannon.

Chessman fared better than the bare result when second on his handicap debut at Newbury last month, conceding first run to the winner and doing extremely well in the circumstances to be beaten just a neck. The third gave that form a boost when successful at Ascot on Friday and, with trainer John Gosden in such fine form at present (11 winners from his last 36 runners), Chessman is fancied to take another step forward and can defy a 3 lb rise in the weights. Harbour Grey was a determined winner at Doncaster last time and looks the main danger.
