Tip of the Day: Back Mrs again!

In a unique turn of events, Ben Linfoot is tipping yesterday's winning selection to go in again, this time on the Flat at Kempton.

Mrs Burbidge could turn out again under the Kempton lights tonight

MRS BURBIDGE – 7.25 Kempton

Yesterday I had one of my, shall we say, clumsy days. You know, when it feels like everything you do goes wrong.

I made a handicapping error in 'Weights & Measures', beeped my horn and flashed my lights and gave the Nescafe sign to a bloke outside my drive in his car who turned out to be my daughters's friend's dad. He was picking up said daughter from my house.

Then I went to Asda and dropped 12 bottles of Peroni that smashed everywhere. I feel I paid for that error when I triple-scanned my milk at the self-scanner, doing myself out of £2.90. I then lumped on Sadio Mane to score anytime against Leeds because he's good and they're rubbish, but they played pretty good and he played pretty rubbish, for him.

All first world problems, but a bad day nonetheless. The only thing I did right was tip a winner for this feature, when Mrs Burbidge did the business over hurdles at Southwell. Although, even in that piece, I spelt her name wrong throughout, calling her Mrs Burbridge with an extra 'r' in there.

I blame Mr Burbridge. He was a teacher at my secondary school and he did have the second 'r'. But if Mr Burbridge taught me anything, it's that most mistakes can be rectified the next day.

And, as luck would have it, Mrs Burbidge runs again! Well, she's due to, and hopefully Neil Mulholland lets her take her chance just a day on from yesterday's success. She's a thriving mare, and I'd like to tip her again with her name spelt right this time.

Yesterday, even though it was a two-and-a-half mile handicap hurdle, she hardly had a race. It was a weak contest and she hosed up, in the style of a horse completely in love with the game.

Today she's down to run on the Flat, on the all-weather at Kempton, in the racinguk.com Handicap at 7.25. It's over a mile-and-a-half and she runs off a mark of 52 after going up 3lb for finishing second to Ali Bin Nayef at Wolverhampton last time.

He's the favourite here, but Mrs Burbidge has a 2lb pull at the weights for a length defeat and that can help her reverse that form.

In her current form, on yesterday's evidence at Southwell, she could make a mark of 52 on the Flat look extremely lenient. But, because she ran yesterday, she's on the drift, and is now 7/1 in a few places which is massive.

I don't know if she'll run. But if Neil Mulholland is happy to let her take her chance than I'll be happy to have a 7/1 voucher about her winning. Like yesterday, this looks an extremely winnable contest and she's one of the very few in-form, well-handicapped horses lining up.

Mulholland won this race last year, too. Let's hope he's celebrating a unique double with Mrs Burbidge later on.
