Tip of the day: Good To Go
Paul Nicholls' Huntingdon team have been reduced by half but Ian Ogg still expects him to leave the track with a winner.
Paul Nicholls, trainer of All Set To Go
It is a pity that Anatol has been taken out of the Tom Jones Memorial HTJ Centre Ltd Chase at Huntingdon as the French import looked a very exciting prospect on his sole British start to date.
His trainer, Paul Nicholls, could still be on the mark at the track with his other runner, All Set To Go.
A fair third on his seasonal reappearance at Chepstow, that run is likely to have brought him on and the return to a flatter track should also be in his favour.
He ended the last campaign – although not, officially, his season – with an excellent second to Gwafa in the Pertemps Network Handicap Hurdle (the Swinton) at Haydock from a 5lb lower mark.
One of today's opponents, Beltor, was a long way behind on that occasion but it will be interesting to see if Robert Stephens' smart bumper performer can get his career back on the right track after losing his way.
He is not the only runner with something to prove as Optimus Prime makes his British debut for Dan Skelton while Ruacana and Prussian Eagle are in the early stages of careers with new trainers.
Mystic Sky and Robinshill arrive in form but are taking on a different quality of rival and the top-weight is expected to be able to make his class tell and the 5/2 currently available is a fair price.
