Tip of the Day: On Her Terms
Ben Linfoot is backing a William Haggas-trained filly to shed her maiden tag in nursery company at Chelmsford today.
William Haggas: Trains Her Terms
HER TERMS has become a frustrating filly to try and win with for William Haggas, but the switch to nursery company could well pay dividends at Chelmsford today and at around 6/1 she's worth a bet to shed her maiden tag.
It would've seemed unlikely, back in July, that this daughter of Pivotal would still be win-less in December. A good second on the Lingfield turf on her second start in June saw her go off odds-on at Sandown the following month, but she had to settle for the runners-up spot again.
She filled the same position at York in September but was considered a 78-rated filly at the time, dropping to 77 and then 74 following defeats by two and three lengths at Nottingham and York, again, respectively.

Haggas has kept her going on the all-weather in a bid to get a win into her, but she was hampered a few times when trying her luck at Chelmsford on December 1 and then the first-time cheekpieces couldn't help her get by Cajmere at Wolverhampton last time.
The excuses are clearly running out, but with the maiden project cast aside she's dead interesting off a mark of 68 on her handicap debut, with Georgia Cox, who has an impressive 20 per cent win strike-rate for Haggas this year, taking off a further 5lb.
The cheekpieces are retained and she may have to come through some sort of gap given she begins from stall one, with a few more prominent racers breaking from her outside.
However, there is no doubting she looks very well-handicapped on her early turf form, while her run at this track recently can be upgraded considering the trouble she found in-running.
In a field of nine here we can't be getting too concerned about potential traffic problems, and at 6/1, on balance, I'm prepared to chance her off a mark of 68 today.
