Tizzard upbeat on Fox Norton recovery
Colin Tizzard is optimistic Fox Norton will have recovered from injury in time to have a prep run ahead of the Queen Mother Champion Chase at the Cheltenham Festival.
Fox Norton: Should recover in time for a Champion Chase prep
The six-year-old sustained a cut on his off-fore when emerging as a serious contender for two-mile honours with a convincing victory in the Shloer Chase at Cheltenham earlier this month.
It was his first start since being bought by owners Ann and Alan Potts and switched from Neil Mulholland's stable to the Tizzard team.
"We think he is going to be fine. We might be very lucky but then we might not, but at the moment it looks pretty positive," said Tizzard.
"Hopefully he will have one run before the Festival.
"He cut his leg in the Shloer and took the hair off a tendon."
