Treve’s sister ready to roll
Treve's full-sister Terre is set to make her eagerly-awaited racecourse debut in the next month.
Treve: Her full-sister will be racing soon
Trainer Criquette Head-Maarek is looking to run the juvenile filly over a mile at either Deauville or Chantilly.
"She's coming on. She's a nice filly. I like her and she will either start at the end of this month in Deauville or in the beginning of September in Chantilly," she said.
"She will run in a race for unraced two-year-olds over a mile."
Terre looks a lot like Treve, according to Head-Maarek, but the trainer admits it is far too early to say if she will be anywhere near as good as the two-time Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe winner.
"She looks a lot like her sister. She's stronger than Treve was at the same age. Whether she has the quality, you can't say at this stage. It's so far so good with her," said Head-Maarek.
