Trip To Paris in Cadran contention
Last year's Ascot Gold Cup winner Trip To Paris heads a strong British representation in Saturday's Prix du Cadran at Chantilly following the first forfeit stage.
Trip To Paris: Could run in the Cadran
Ed Dunlop's much-travelled gelding made a pleasing reappearance after injury over an inadequate 10 furlongs but has been below par in two subsequent outings at York and the Curragh.
Roger Charlton's Quest For More poses a stern threat to the home team after winning the Lonsdale Cup and going close at Doncaster recently.
Sir Mark Prescott's Amour De Nuit, Marcus Tregoning's Burmese and Seamus Durack's Cayirli could also take on the likes of Vazirabad and last year's winner Mille Et Mille.
In the Prix Daniel Wildenstein, William Haggas' Mutakayyef holds strong claims along with Charlie Hills' Dutch Connection.
Haggas could also run South African import Yorker, while Charlie Appleby's Latharnach and the Simon Crisford-trained First Selection are in the mix for a race that could feature Dicton and Ervedya, although the last-named is also in the Sun Chariot Stakes at Newmarket.
Ralph Beckett's Air Pilot, Yorker and Jim Bolger's Qatari Hunter are all in the Prix Dollar, with Zarak still under consideration too.
In the Prix de Royallieu, Dermot Weld's Almela is the only British or Irish interest with Hughie Morrison's Marmelo in the same boat in the Prix Chaudenay.
