Two-mile plans for Yanworth

Yanworth is a surprise contender for either the International Hurdle at Cheltenham or the Christmas Hurdle at Kempton.

Yanworth: Is likely to be kept away from Unowhatimeanharry

Connections were thinking about stepping him up to three miles for the Long Walk Hurdle at Ascot after he made a winning return at the same Berkshire venue.

However, given he runs in the same JP McManus colours as Harry Fry's Unowhatimeanharry, who put up a dominant display over three miles at Newbury last week, he may drop down in distance instead.

King said: "He is going to have an entry in the International at Cheltenham, but I suppose My Tent Or Yours (who is also owned by McManus) will have one as well, and he will possibly have one in the Christmas Hurdle.

"I think we are going to try to keep the two apart (Yanworth and Unowhatimeanharry), but I will have to speak to the boys.

"All options are open."

Another McManus-owned star in King's care is 2015 Ryanair Chase winner Uxizandre, not seen since his big win at Cheltenham.

"Uxizandre is still a fair bit off and won't be started until after Christmas," said King.

"I've not made a starting point for him, but he has got to go left-handed so we will see what is about. There is no rush with him."
