CLAIBORNE FARM'S flagship sire War Front will stand at a fee of $250,000 for the 2017 breeding season, up from the $200,000 he stood at this year.

This year he has supplied the likes of Cheveley Park Stakes heroine Brave Anna and Rodeo Drive Stakes scorer Avenge. He is also the sire of Dewhurst Stakes hero War Command and last year's Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf winner Hit It A Bomb.

Claiborne Farm representative Bernie Sams said: "War Front's progeny continue to dominate worldwide at the highest levels, both on the racetrack and in the sale rings.

"From a breeder's perspective, he offers the chance to hit the jackpot. Whether it's a Group 1 winner at Ascot, a Breeders' Cup champion, or a seven-figure sale topper here in the States, anything is possible."
