Warwick call precautionary check
Officials at Warwick have called a precautionary inspection for 8am on Thursday ahead of their afternoon meeting.
Forecasts suggest the temperature could dip below freezing at the track overnight, with cold weather also forecast for Thursday.
In light of that prediction, a morning check has been deemed necessary, although frost covers are in place on vulnerable areas of the track.
The going is reported to be soft at present.
An inspection had already been called for Fakenham's meeting on the same day with officials looking at 1pm on Wednesday.
Several successive nights of sub-zero temperatures have left the ground frozen in places and racing would not have taken place for the last few days.
Clerk of the course David Hunter said: "We've had some very cold nights and the temperatures are not getting that high in the day."
