Watson’s German plan with Blast
Archie Watson is eyeing a trip to Germany with Absolute Blast following her second place at Epsom last week.
The five-year-old, who won the Magnolia Stakes and finished second in the Easter Classic on All-Weather Finals Day, was beaten five lengths by Laugh Aloud in the Group Three Princess Elizabeth Stakes on Derby day.
Watson is eager to gain black type with the Kodiac mare, who is also entered at the Goffs London Sale on the eve of Royal Ascot.
The Lambourn trainer said: "The plan we are thinking of is the Hamburger Stutenmeile at Hamburg on July 3 which is a Group Three race over a mile for fillies and mares.
"She has run some very solid races in Group Three company and the aim would be to get some winning black type with her."
Watson is also lining up a decent challenge for Royal Ascot honours.
Watson added: "We Are The World was third at Redcar last month and the form is working out well as the second, fourth, fifth and sixth have all won since.
"He's a very nice colt and will go to the Chesham Stakes.
"Corinthia Knight won a couple of times earlier in the year and was second at Ascot last time. He's had a little bit of a break and we're looking at the Windsor Castle with him.
"We have also been sent Petite Jack and he could go for the Duke of Edinburgh."
