HUGO PALMER takes the wraps off a daughter of 2005 1,000 Guineas heroine Virginia Waters on Thursday, with the Oasis Dream filly Hyper Dream set to make her debut in the 7f fillies' maiden at Chelmsford at 6.40pm.

The juvenile will carry the colours of Vefa Ibrahim Araci after she was purchased by the owner's racing manager Rob Speers at last year's Arqana August Yearling Sale for €295,000.

Bred by Barnett Enterprises, Hyper Dream is the seventh foal produced by Virginia Waters, a Kingmambo half-sister to 2007 Group 3 Gallinule Stakes winner and Irish Derby runner-up Alexander Of Hales and to Canterbury Lace, the unraced dam of 2012 Matron Stakes victress Chachamaidee.

Virginia Waters has been responsible for two winners to date, the most significant being the Giant's Causeway colt Emperor Claudius who won four races for Aidan O'Brien including the Listed Celebration Stakes in 2010.

Though it is early days in the career of Hyper Dream, hope that she can make into a smart filly comes in the fact that the cross of leading Juddmonte stallion Oasis Dream with a Kingmambo mare has provided ten winners from 11 runners, a number that includes six-time Group/Grade 1 heroine Midday.

Additionally, Palmer and Araci have combined for three winners in the last 14 days among them Dewhurst entry Via Serendipity, who got off the mark at the third attempt last Friday.

Another well-related filly in the contest is Star Of Bristol, a Richard Hughes-trained daughter of Speightstown who finished fourth on her debut at Kempton over 7f.

Owned and bred by S F Bloodstock, Star Of Bristol is out of the prolific broodmare Starlight Dreams, a Black Tie Affair half-sister to four-time Listed scorer Matahif, and shares her page with multiple top-level winners Pressing, River Memories and Sakhee.

Starlight Dreams won two races from 1m to 1m½f but it is in the breeding shed that she has proved a genuine star, supplying nine winners from eleven runners including three black-type performers.

The best of these is undoubtedly Mastercraftsman, crowned champion European two-year-old in 2008 following triumphs in the National Stakes and Phoenix Stakes.

The son of Danehill Dancer was unfortunate to come up against the great Sea The Stars during his three-year-old campaign but still managed to record two further top-level victories in the Irish 2,000 Guineas and St James's Palace Stakes before his retirement to Coolmore where he has been responsible for four individual Group 1 winners including 2014 St Leger hero Kingston Hill.

Starlight Dreams' most recent foal, Star Of Bristol is also a half-sister to the Rock Of Gibraltar filly Genuine Devotion, a 1m Grade 3 winner in the US and 7f Moyglare Stud Stakes runner-up Famous, a sister to Mastercraftsman by Danehill Dancer.
