A PAIR of 38,000gns yearlings by Lethal Force and Zebedee are the headline acts of a muted final day of trading so far at Park Paddocks.

A first-crop son of Lethal Force from Usk Valley Stud will carry the colours of Highfield Farm next year after falling to Emma Armstrong.

"He was David's pick," said Armstrong. "It's a very fast family and we like to support fast stallions. He'll come back home to us. We have no training plans yet but I'm sure it'll be someone in the north!"

The Foursome Thoroughbreds homebred is bred to be quick as the first foal out of four-time winning sprinter If So, a half-sister to talented sprinters Deacon Blues and The Tin Man.

The family could be further enhanced on Saturday when The Tin Man lines up in the QIPCO British Champions Sprint Stakes, in which he will bid to emulate Deacon Blues, the 2011 winner.

Earlier in the morning, the same mark was reached by a daughter of Zebedee who was bought by Paul d'Arcy. Sold by J K Thoroughbreds, she is out of Norwegian Oaks winner Geordie Iris.
